UDAAN
'Udaan' under TDDP (The Dharavi Dreams Project), literally meaning 'life where you can fly and soar', is an initiative where we provide free opportunities to the youth to pursue and explore something they would not have the chance to. We want to give this youth visibility in our community.
With our first performance planned for April this year, we want them to travel around the city of Mumbai to places like NMACC and perform at larger auditoriums and later even to other cities where they can showcase their skills and their message to the world allowing them to gain visibility in not only their community but around India as well.
These shows will help build confidence, will help attract more donors for the expansion of the project and will allow us to build a network for these youth who wish to pursue performing arts at larger institutions. We aim to expand access to opportunities, helping reduce unequal distribution and, in turn, address the inequalities that persist in our society.
