Waste to warmth

We began this project by collecting textile fabric from firms using their social responsibility budgets, making blankets, and giving them to our city's impoverished neighbourhoods.

We began this project by collecting textile fabric from firms using their social responsibility budgets, making blankets, and giving them to our city's impoverished neighbourhoods.

We then took this forward by employing women from the slums and got them professional training in order to curate functional and aesthetic products such as bags, pouches, laptop cases and an array of products. These products are then sold at market places and residential complexes in monthly stalls. At waste to warmth we are driven to provide employment to the ones in need in a sustainable fashion. We aim to make underprivileged women financially independent and our goal is to set up working spaces for women and build their identity by marketing products for them as well as raise awareness about waste management and unemployment through our project.
