DeCode is a mobile application that assists non-English speakers to study programming.
Its purpose is to offer an aggregate library of syntax and coding templates with comments in other languages, a GPT-4 powered chatbot that uses natural language processing to answer any coding questions, and an in-app community-based sharing network, with a mission to amplify accessibility to the field of computing for all youth. The art of our initiative is epitomized by the name DeCode, which suggests our platform be a tool that helps non-English speaking, coding enthusiasts decode the convoluted and elusive nature of programming, with an end goal of sharing the promise of computing with the greater public!
With the support of the IB, DeCode will initiate field-testing, after which equipped with user feedback, a new and final iteration of DeCode will be launched to AppStore to truly benefit the audience for which it is created for! On a side note, on November 22nd, 2023, our founder will be introducing DeCode and the social purpose behind our creation in a TED talk at the TEDxAmerican School of Warsaw event.
