Up To You
Up To You is a decentralised Peruvian initiative that seeks to reduce the gap in Comprehensive Sexuality Education in rural and indigenous communities in Peru, prioritising regions such as Ica, Puno, and Piura.
This project, which has an intercultural, participatory, and above all decentralised approach, will be developed through virtual training on sexuality education and leadership development in collaboration with national and international specialists and activists. Macro-regional fairs will be held in 3 focal points (north, centre, and south) around the country, where the adolescents involved will have the opportunity to bring to light strategic solutions for each of their communities. Finally, Up To You will allow teenagers to turn these ideas into reality through the financial support and guidance needed.
With a documentary with real testimonies and the whole process of Up To You's intervention, the impact of this project will not only be tangible but also remain as a showcase and acknowledgement of the power that young people have to stand up for their integrity and become agents of change in their communities. Talking about sexuality education will not be an option, but a right, and the actions to create an impact are Up To You.
