Your Voice, Your Future - International Youth Summit RECAP
The Your Voice, Your Future International Youth Summit is an initiative led by United Nations International School students in collaboration with the IB Festival of Hope. It was held on Friday 20th September 2024 at UNIS and was an official Side Event of the UN Summit of the Future.
More than 4000 young people from 94 countries gathered to share the energy and ideas about what makes meaningful youth engagement, and to call on global organisations to listen!
Unlike other youth-centred events, this summit will have tangible outcomes as we will draft a proposal centred on youth engagement and pledge to take ACTION(s) for the Pact of the Future including Social Media campaigning through a variety of channels, youth attendees presenting summit highlights at their respective schools, and proactively sharing real-time updates of tangible actions taken within their communities.
What is the UN Summit of The Future?
The Summit is a high-level event, bringing world leaders together to forge a new international consensus on how we deliver a better present and safeguard the future.
Effective global cooperation is increasingly critical to our survival but difficult to achieve in an atmosphere of mistrust, using outdated structures that no longer reflect today’s political and economic realities.
