Generation Global Newsletter - Issue 2, 2025
Welcome to our Q2 2025 newsletter!
The second quarter of 2025 has been an exciting time of connection, collaboration, and growth at Generation Global.
From celebrating Earth Day with over 900 young people in 23 dialogues, to expanding our in-person impact across schools in India and the UAE, we’ve seen the power of dialogue come alive, in classrooms, communities, and online spaces.
We launched a new topic on Leadership, empowering students to reflect on the values and skills needed to lead with empathy and purpose. Our Youth and Educator Advisory Groups brought diverse voices to the table to shape future programme development, while the Educator Meet-up offered a space for professional learning and exchange on upskilling strategies.
We also had the honour of engaging with global education communities through events like GESS Saudi Arabia and the Nord Anglia Student Summit in the U.S., where our team highlighted the role of dialogue in creating inclusive, future-ready learning environments.
Thank you for being a part of our growing global community. Read on to explore the stories, voices, and impact from this quarter!
Best,
The Generation Global Team
Celebrating Earth Day through Earth Day Dialogues
Between April 21 to April 25, we organised 23 virtual dialogues on the topic of Climate Change, in honour of Earth Day 2025, bringing together 920+ young people from 15 countries, including Armenia, Rwanda, Pakistan, Turkey, and the UK. During the dialogues, students shared firsthand experiences of climate impacts in their communities, exchanged innovative solutions, and strengthened their global citizenship skills through active listening and respectful communication.
One participant from Indonesia reflected:
“I learned that the impacts of climate change vary greatly in each country - from long droughts to frequent floods - and realized that, even though the impacts differ, we are all facing the same challenge. It motivated me to start taking small actions, like reducing plastic use and saving electricity, and to inspire others around me to care more about the environment.”

Youth and Educator Advisory Groups: Co-Creating a More Inclusive Generation Global
Generation Global’s Youth and Educator Advisory Groups convened this June, bringing together perspectives from across the world to inform programme development.
In sessions hosted by Lorenzo Raffio and Lisa Petro, 22 young people from 8 countries shared insights on their experience with the programme, explored how AI could support dialogue, including a new AI Companion Tool currently being tested, and proposed creative ways to keep peers engaged through new interactive dialogue activities. On the educators’ side, 14 teachers from 11 countries reflected on how they integrate Generation Global into their teaching, its alignment with their curricula, and the types of support or professional development they would find most valuable.
These regularly held advisory sessions, bringing together the voices of learners and educators from diverse backgrounds and countries, each with unique experiences of the programme, help Generation Global continue to evolve in response to their needs.

“Being in the Educator community of Generation Global makes me feel well because I meet with other teachers worldwide, we share views, and how we understand things differently. And I come to understand others’ views about social things or general issues that we used to encounter as people. And we look for solutions.”
“I’ve always believed that young people have the power to shape our world—and Generation Global is a platform that makes youth inclusion real. Many in our generation feel isolated or stuck in our phones, without safe spaces to talk freely and be heard. Generation Global has helped students like me build real connections and communication skills through online intercultural dialogues”
- Manmohan, student at Sacred Heart School, Moga, Punjab, India
