Welcome to our Q2 2026 newsletter!
This quarter, we grew our global reach while strengthening the foundations that keep it safe. We marked Earth Day with 646 students across 23 countries, expanded partnerships in Indonesia, and brought dialogue workshops directly into classrooms across India and Southeast Asia. We also welcomed a new Safeguarding and Moderation Coordinator, and our team completed Child Protection certifications at ICMEC — because meaningful dialogue starts with safe spaces to have it. On the global stage, we shared our work at forums in Singapore, Australia, the US, and China, sparking new conversations about what dialogue-driven education can offer.

Celebrating Earth Day through Earth Day Dialogues
In April 2026, we marked Earth Day by hosting 23 dialogues on climate change, engaging 646 learners from 23 countries. Learners explored how cultural perspectives, personal values, and community actions shape our relationship with nature, while building skills in active listening and open dialogue. 91% of participants who completed reflections reported increased knowledge of the topic.
One student from the UAE reflected:
“I thought it would mainly be about climate change facts, but it turned out to be much more about people, perspectives, and how we communicate… it made me realise that discussions don’t always have to be about agreeing or disagreeing. Sometimes, just understanding where someone is coming from is more important.”

Partnerships Visits in Indonesia
Generation Global continues to deepen its engagement in Indonesia. In April 2026, Robin Keshaw, Partnerships Lead, visited Indonesia and joined Lenny Ceng, Southeast Asia Partnership Coordinator, for a series of school visits and partnership engagements across the Greater Jakarta, Malang, Surabaya and Denpasar regions.
Robin and Lenny also participated in Roadshow SPK Indonesia 2026 in Jakarta, organised by Perkumpulan Sekolah SPK Indonesia, connecting with educators teaching international curricula. This momentum continued in June, when Lenny joined Temu Pendidik Nusantara in Bogor, organised by Komunitas Guru Belajar Nusantara (KGBN), and introduced the programme to 194 educators. Together, these engagements reflect our commitment to grow with Indonesia’s education community and serving schools in ways that are locally relevant, practical and sustainable.
Bringing Dialogue Closer to Classroom
This quarter, our partnerships team brought dialogue directly to young people, creating meaningful opportunities for them to explore why listening, questioning and sharing perspectives matter in today’s world. Across Indonesia and India, the team engaged more than 1,300 students through interactive sessions at Bali Island School, MAN 2 Kota Malang, BINUS Surabaya, Brighton Junior High School, SMP Amalina, Arwachin International, DAV Sahibabad, Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Veda Vyasa DAV School, Gurukul The School, and Apple Global School.

Generation Global and SPEA Champion Dialogue-Based Learning
Generation Global, in collaboration with Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), delivered a Dialogue workshop on 24 June 2026, engaging 257 educators across Sharjah, UAE. The interactive session introduced the foundations of dialogue, including the five core dialogue skills and practical strategies to explore multiple perspectives in the classroom.
The session was facilitated by Ms. Ushita Banerjee, a workshop leader at Generation Global, and Ms. Nikita Patel, South Asia Coordinator. We extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Shoua and the SPEA team for their continued partnership and support.
Team update
We are delighted to welcome Kiera Brennan, who has joined Generation Global as our Safeguarding and Moderation Coordinator. Kiera brings experience across education, youth support, and residential care in both the UK and Australia, where she has supported and safeguarded children and young people in a range of settings. In her role, she will strengthen safeguarding, moderation, and quality assurance across the programme.
Thought leadership in Better Future Forum, Singapore
Eva Grajeda, Head of Generation Global Dialogue Exchange, participated in the 2026 Better Future Forum, held between May 12–14 in Singapore and organised by the Global Institute for Shaping a Better Future, an initiative of Teach For All. The forum brought together global leaders and practitioners across the education ecosystem to connect, learn, and contribute to a better future. Eva engaged with local initiatives, learned from innovative practices, and shared Generation Global’s work.
Strengthening Safeguarding Expertise at ICMEC Conference, Germany
The Generation Global Safeguarding Team recently attended the ICMEC Safeguarding and Child Protection Conference at Frankfurt International School, joining global professionals to share best practices and strengthen collaboration in child protection. Our team successfully completed Level 1 and Level 2 ICMEC Child Protection certifications, further strengthening our approach to safeguarding and creating safer learning environments for young people.
New Dialogues, New Possibilities in Australia
Generation Global is strengthening its engagement with educators in Australia and exploring new pathways to bring dialogue-driven learning to more schools. In June 2026, Lenny Ceng l participated in the NSW EdTech Summit 2026 in Sydney as an international delegate. Through booth sessions on dialogue learning, and conversations with educators and sector leaders, she explored how dialogue-based learning can bring a stronger human dimension to conversations on AI, innovation and the future of education.
Generation Global in Nord Anglia Youth Summit, US
Generation Global was proud to participate in the 2026 Nord Anglia Youth Summit focused on SDG 12: Responsible Consumption, entitled Making the Invisible Visible. Education and Quality Lead, Lisa Petro facilitated dialogue and social change workshops for 145 students and 42 Social Impact Representatives. Across these sessions, participants explored how dialogue is an essential tool for enabling meaningful and sustainable social impact and moving beyond solutions-driven approaches to centre human experience, perspectives, and shared understanding.
Brining Intercultural Dialogue to IB China Education Forum
In June, Lili Qiu, Communications & Coordination Associate Managerparticipated in the IB China Education Forum in Shanghai, which brought together around 700 IB educators and school leaders from Greater China to explore the role of education in human development.
Lili presented the session “Dialogue Across Borders: Building a Global Learner Community through Intercultural Dialogue”, introducing Generation Global to the IB China network for the first time and highlighting the power of intercultural dialogue in developing global learners.
Youth Convo Series: Leadership Glow Up
What can we learn when young people share their leadership journeys with each other?
Join our first-ever Youth Convo, a student-led online event where young speakers from our Youth Advisory Groups in India, Algeria, Philippines, and Burkina Faso come together to share personal stories, engage in a live roundtable, and take questions from the audience.

Educator Meet-Up
An exciting opportunity for educators from around the world to join the next Generation Global Educator Meet-Up on 25 August 2026, focused on nurturing student leadership in a rapidly changing world. This interactive virtual session will offer teachers a space to exchange ideas, share classroom approaches, explore the role of meaningful dialogue in student leadership, and gain practical strategies to take back to their schools. Two sessions will be available at 10:00 and 14:30 UTC.

Peace Day Dialogues 2026
What does peace really look like - and where does it begin?
From 16–22 September, young people will join live, facilitated dialogues to explore what peace means to them and in different parts of the world. Through listening and sharing perspectives, these conversations help build understanding, empathy, and the foundations of a more inclusive world.
